A night of discussion on the issue of drug use and addiction in Sheboygan Countv.
The Waldo Fire Department is dedicated to public safety in all forms. We are looking at issues that affect our residents outside of just fire safety.
We invite you to an evening of education and discussion on the current addiction issue in rural Sheboygan County. Presenters from the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department and Pathways to Better Living LLC will be on-hand to discuss the current status of addiction in our community, what we can do to help, and what can we do to help someone we feel may need it.
Topics we will be discussing:
-The extent of drug use in rural Sheboygan County
-How is Law Enforcement combating this issue?
-How is drug use affecting your life?
-What can we do to help Law Enforcement with this issue?
-How does a person with an addiction get started with their disease?
-How can we help a person we feel is having issues with drugs?
-How can we ease stigmas and stereotypes of people who deal with addictions?
-Hear from individuals who deal with addiction as part of their life.
Our hope is to educate the public and give them the resources and support to help with this issue that affects the lives of so many in our area.
This event is free and open to all ages.
